Best Hands-Free Kit for a 700? CR814...

Hi

I am looking to install a Hands-Free kit in the 780.

I have a Parrot in my other car, a Parrot MKi9200, which I am happy with.

I was thinking about an MKi9100 just because the smaller screen is less intrusive and could be located in a more subtle location than the bigger screen of the MKi9200.

Has anyone experience of installing a kit to a CR814 or similar?

Ideally I want my music from my phone, through the kit to the standard speaker set-up, I don't want to use the CD multiplayer in the boot.

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

According to what you've said you want it to do, that will do the lot. Tune your radio into whatever frequency you select on the device, pair it to your phone, job done! It'll stream music from your phone while navigating, silencing the music while the sat-nav directions go through the speakers, if a call comes in, that takes priority.

At that price it's cheap enough to try and if you don't get on with it, you can put it in a drawer and forget about it - the one i bought is now set up permanently in my Rover so i need another for my Volvo now!

If you get one of those small windscreen suction mounts, it will fit in (i had to add a bit of sound proof sponge to pack it out a little) and you can mount it on your windscreen next to the A-pillar at mouth height, still easy for track control, phone answering etc. This is what i used :

Others are available, have a look and take your pick! ;) :D

Do I understand correctly...?

It plugs in to the cigarette lighter, communicates with the phone via Bluetooth and with the car via Radio signal through the CR814?

Thanks

Yes. ;) :D

You can also skip forward or back on the tracks and answer/reject/hang-up calls with it as well.
