2.0t 2001 Rear 02 sensor

The rear lambda sensor on the above car has failed , causing the ECM warning light to show.
A replacement part is available on extended delivery from Volvo classic parts service at a cost of £198 + VAT.
Can anyone recommend a pattern part supplier, or alternatively a good second hand spares supplier?
Thanks in advance.

you might if the supplier knows what he is selling , otherwise you will get a lot of fuss and bother with wrong parts , or faults developing a few days/ weeks later these are not the usual standard Oxygen sensor . that price is not too bad , they were quite a bit more when the car was current !

Thanks Clan for your response.

I have come to the same conclusion.

Just wanted to check whether there was an alternative (cheaper) option, but
don't want to spoil the car which has always had Volvo replacement parts fitted up to now.

Regards

You might be able to research one which May work for an unknown period but is it all worth the hassle ...

My T4 have replaced both o2 sensors from NTK....the same guys from NGK spark plug! They come with OEM connections, recommend.

Lamda o2 sensor

I agree its not a standard part - I used a second hand one from ebay (£20 I think) and its been fine for a couple of years. I was not prepared to pay almost £200 quid - but if you can afford it a new one it should give you peace of mind.

Having said that my one was obsolete anyway and they/volvo were offering the sport mode alternative

They are easy enough to replace - and the part number is stamped on them.
