Crit-Air and French touring. 2018 new zones.
I havn't seen this mentioned here - SO:
If anyone is considering transiting or touring France this year and is relying on the Crit-Air zone boundaries from last year I suggest you update yourself as to any new zones that now apply. Early last year there were 3 zones ( Paris, Grenoble & Lyon ) - this year there are many, many more. Shocked to see the extent of the new zones recently I have now applied ( at short notice in anticipation of our 2018 French tour ) for a Crit-Air disc and am assigned a 5 status disc for my Euro 2 V70. Luckily, we will only be touring Brittany this year and most of that area is currently excluded ( at the moment that is - but who knows what the near future holds). If we were doing last years tour to the Med this year, then we would be crossing many more Crit-Air zones. Don't be fooled by non official payment websites - it only costs about £4 for the official disc from the official website. Colin |
Glad to see my EURO 4 MY2009 XC90 is not excluded anywhere.
The French calculator says a EURO 4 diesel is a CRIT'Ait Level 3 Level 3 is still allowed everywhere. It's the EURO 1 and older cars (with no EURO compliance) they want to ban |
