Volvo 360
Anyone interested in a Volvo 360 GL? It has the two litre B200 engine and I think it is from around 1986? My brother has it, so I don’t have the details to hand. It was my dad’s. I think but can check that it still has only about 40k miles on it. It was a dealership ex-demonstrator that dad owned from new. It was garaged for many years and hardly used and so WAS in excellent condition but has since been stored outside for about a decade and now has rusty holes. I’ve no idea what its’ worth.

From personal experience, they’re not worth as much as you think.

I sold my 1986 360 GL 5 door hatchback which needed welding, no MOT, cambelt needed doing etc for £1100
I sold my 1986 360 GLEi SE that I'd fully welded, interior was in good condition but not perfect condition, paint needed sorting, spider rust in the doors still, a few little issues needed sorting still and the paintwork wasn't very good for £3500. So as long as it isn't a complete rot box it is worth at least £1000 I'd say. If it is a 3 door hatchback it is worth more than a 5 door too. |
I think those are strong prices...but obviously any of these cars are worth what someone is willing to pay. No MOT and needing welding will deter a lot of people, as you're adding a lot of cost (and time) straight away. A guy is trying to sell a 360 which needs a fair bit of work for ~£1500, and struggling, unsurprisingly. Small market, etc.
Having said that, I wouldn't be taking less than £500 for it, even if it's a trailer job. If it's important to you that it gets a "good home", I'd pitch it a bit higher to try to deter the scrappers and drifters. cheers James |
