XC70 D4 2016 Screen wash coming out of rear instead of front
 

The wife's XC70 has developed an interesting screen wash problem.

Looks like she burned out the pump when the filter clogged, possibly due to a change in screen wash. Changed the pump and problem solved until I checked the rear washer. The rear washer worked but after trying it the front didn't. When operating the front, the rear washer worked and when operating the rear the rear worked.

So I took it all apart and put it back together again. The front worked fine until the back was tried and then operating the front made the back work.

Tried with a second pump and same problem.

To get her going, I removed the shuttle in the pump and now both front and rear operate at the same time.

I've searched but haven't found anything similar. But I did find the sterident method which I'll try at the weekend in case there is a partial blockage in the rear line which is holding pressure and stopping the shuttle returning.
