SRS urgent codes
With a really frosty morning last week I got the srs urgent with red triangle I have codes if someone can help me out iv tried reset on Vida but didn't seem to work but I'm not to knowledgeable on it codes are srs-cfff control module internal fault and srs-e010 power supply to high voltage difference before I go to dealers I thought I'd see if anyone has had these codes and managed a fix
|
If it turns out it's the control module is shafted are they coded to the car or could I pick one up down the breakers, after reading some other pages I gather they are not cheap around £500
|
Booked into dealers tomorrow for diagnostics I'll post there findings

If it turns out the SRS module is broken, you can try https://www.crashdata.co.uk/Default.asp - who can fix your module.
It's located underneath the centre console, at the back. Could save you some money over what the dealer will charge. |
So i already knew what codes were going to come up on Vida I just wanted to know the solution.dealer says it needs a new module at a cost of £500 and around £350 to program it to my car plus more costs in labour ouch this car is draining my wallet I'm going to try take it out myself and get it repaired if it's possible I'll be back with more results asap

You should try getting it out yourself and contact Crash Data about fixing it.
This thread might help you - https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=207358 There is a browser add-on that you can install into Chrome/Firefox etc. that supposedly replaces all the missing pictures. |

Well I cannot recommend crash data enough I removed the SRS module and sent it off Monday they fixed it and it was returned on Wednesday iv just replaced the module and put everything back together in under an hour put the key in and turned her on and BOOM the warning triangle and the air bag light is gone all at a cost of £76 including the postage massive difference from the dealership quote 👍🏻🍺

Well my fix was short lived I have the light srs urgent back on after this mornings frost mmm does anyone know if a weak battery could trigger off the warning
|
Sorry to hear that, I would have thought crashdata would've done a good job.
A weak battery can cause all sorts of issues from what I've read/heard. |
