What are these on the C30?
 

Hi all,

I don't own a C30, however I am a Volvo nut so I'm intrigued as to what the items behind the grill are that I keep seeing on many C30s.

Picture attached.

I've seen all manner of colours but most prominent are blue and green.

Can somebody enlighten me? :teeth_smile:

Thought so, either that or some oddball billy-bolt-on turbo installation :regular_smile:

Is one for the main alarm and the other for general 'honking' or do they both worth in tandem and change tone depending on scenario?

One is high tone and one low. They sound together.

Any idea why people have them coloured? Purely a mod to make them stand out I assume? I thought it was undercover police to begin with when I saw the blue ones :shocked:

The factory ones are black. Yours has either been chavved up by painting them or replacement horn units fitted. Your grille also looks like the outer frame has been painted or plastikoted black. It would have been silver/chrome as standard.
