1986, 340 for sale
 

Hi guys,

I have a 945 so spend my forum time there but have fond memories of many years with a 360 GLE.

Advert in my local free paper:

'86, 340 DL; 3 door white, 39,950 miles, 1 owner. Non runner, stood for 3 years on SORN, £1,600. Tel 01245 477135 or 07948 734144.

Price seems a little eye-watering but you will know more about that than me.

The car is nothing to do with me and I know nothing about it over and above the advert. Just passing on.

If it is genuine with no rust that price is reasonable the 343 is a fine car , they generally never go wrong or need parts , more room inside than all the newer "small" volvos ....

I would be inclined to agree, 'Clan' (having run them in period) but only if it was also OTR and had a current MOT. I would be concerned by the possible effects of three years disuse, and - like you - any rust issues. Against that, one owner and a sub 40K mileage augur well in it's favour.
