Engine coolant drain plug??
1 Attachment(s)
Hi peeps,
I'm doing a coolant change. I've drained the rad through the drain plug, and using a Haynes as a guide, it says on some models there is an engine block drain plug on the rhs of the block. I cannot see anything obvious. Does anyone know if a S60 D5 S 2002 have one?!! Thanks. Pic at back of engine just above oil drain plug... Thought it may be that black nut? |
The D5 has one.
You just follow the coolant pipes up from the oil cooler. Don't expect to get much more out though, in fact if you're flushing the system properly, I would leave it. |

There are two coolant pipes in and out of the cooler. One has the drain on it. The first picture you posted, if it's your car, you have no vacuum hose on your turbo VNT actuator. |

You may have all the pipework there already but it's just come adrift. The vacuum system and what goes where is explained in another of my videos. |

Will look in the light tomoz. If I need new hose what size diameter do you think, 4mm sufficient? |
