V40 Rdesign D2 Passenger Seat Detector

Hello everyone,
Some days ago unfortunately my uncle had a chewing gum under his pants and he sat on my car sticking the chewing gum to the passenger seat. I proceded to clean it with ice and thoothpast and a toothbruch and it actually worked. The thing is that now the passenger seat detector is always on despite no one being seated...
What can I do?
There were two or three times that the warning stopped showing but then It comes back and I have to put the seatbelt with no one there just to stop it.
I talked with a guy that said that probably it was humidity from the cleaning and I had to wait some weeks, or I might have damaged the sensors and need to repairt it but he said it could be a litle expensive.
I dont know what to do now...
Can I disable the passanger seat detector? Can I use something to trick the seatbelt?
Thank you for helping me.

You could leave the seat belt plugged in if your are the only person in car
That way you won’t get the warnings

I am going to buy a clamp for the seat belt buckle so it stops. I have afriend who has two dogs and uses it all the time so he doesnt get the warning. I hope it fixes it self like I was told or else I will one day have to spend money on it to get it repaired.
Thank you

Keep in mind that the seat sensor also feeds the airbag and srs systems... so if it’s not working as it should it would be best to get in fixed.
