V50 R Design 2.0D replacement tyres

Hi everyone,

The tyres on my 2009 2.0d R Design V50 are beginning to look a little smooth after only 18500 miles! At present it is fitted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres but to replace these it looks like I will be spending close on £900. Whilst this is not a problem I would like to hear any other owners views as to the suitability of any other make of tyre for this car.

Thanks in anticipation,

Reg

I'm assuming you are looking at 215/45? If you dig around the internet you should be able to get replacement Pirelli's for £150 each.

You will find a better range of tyres/prices if you go up a size to 225/45/18 which I'm told fits without a problem but you should inform your insurer of the change from std spec which could incur a charge.

Once you get a price you are happy with online it's worth calling around your local depots as they can often match or beat if pushed.

Hi I recently, Changed my tyres went with Falken ZE 912's in 225/45/18, it protects the rim a bit better and also gives a better ride (less tram lining)
Excellently priced tyre and gets great reviews! I used them in the wet the other day with an aggressive right foot and they were perfect! People rate the as longer lasting than the Pirelli, even if they only lasted the same amount of time for the money saved its still a great tyre!
