For sale - 2005 Volvo S80 D5 SE manual - Pearlescent Black

Copy of my Pistonheads ad:

Here is a Volvo S80 D5 SE 2.4 Diesel car that I bought recently to replace my previous Volvo V70 T5. Having owned it for a matter of weeks, it is apparent to me that I still need the additional space that an estate car can give, it is therefore up for sale.

More pictures below

It is in good condition given it's in its 6th year and was registered on 6th April 2005

The list of standard and optional equipment is very good and includes:

* 17 inch alloy wheels with good tyres
* Electric front windows all round
* Power steering
* Cruise control
* HID headlight conversion
* Electric seats with drivers memory
* Heated front seats
* Leather/Alcantara upholstery
* Remote central locking with 2 fobs and keys
* Fold down rear seats
* Multi CD Radio player
* Electric folding door mirrors
* Multiple air bags
* Traction control
* Electronic suspension control
* Dual zone climate control
* On board computer
* Built in mobile phone - any SIM with rear privacy handset
* Factory detachable towbar
* Folding rear headrests ( at the touch of a button)
* Auto dipping rear view mirror
* Rain sensor front wipers
* Volvo mudflaps

Everything works at it should on this car with the exception of the left hand door mirror on fold which struggles and doesn't quite get there!

The interior of the car is in first class condition with no rips or tears to the seats, although a clean would benefit it a bit.

There is service record with this car up to date with Volvo main dealers to 2008 and at specialists since. The last service was at 144000 miles.

It is taxed until end September 2011 and has an MOT until 8th February 2012.

The bad bits, as you would expect, there are a few paint chips and car park dinks and a few scuffs. The car drives very well and is very fast, comfortable and economical with a 51mpg average.

Please note that the vehicle is for collection from Stockton On Tees unless prior arrangements are agreed.

Price £4299, feel free to make an offer. Call Mike on 07828 804328 if you have any questions.

No offence but you need to check out autotrader to see what leggy S60 D5s are on at, yours is overpriced. Three grand is a little bit cheeky but isn't far off for a 150k mile car from an auction site, try three and a half and be ready to accept between three and 3.5k and I reckon you'll sell it.

Cheapest 2005 car I could find on Autotrader is £3990 with 180000 miles on it .

I'm in the same boat as you here RM. I've got an '04 S60 T5 with 52k on the clock, mint condition with service history. I was thinking of replacing it with a Volvo diesel (something like your S80), purely for economy reasons. Only thing is, i cant get anywhere near what i want for my car, I've even had a P/X figure of £2900. No-body seems to want these big Volvo's.

My apologies, I misread your ad, I thought you said S60 not S80, my mistake! Sounds like your pricing is better than I thought, all I can say is listen to the market, if the phone isn't ringing after a week or two then the price is too high.

When I sold my B10 recently the feedback I got from people "in the know" was universally positive about my pricing, but the phone stayed quiet. I ended up dropping it over a grand to get a buyer, the market is awful at the moment.
