740 sunroof seals
 

Hi

Do anyone know where I can purchase sunroof seals for my 740? usual problem
with 740 leaking sunroof. Tried several places no go.

Are they the same as 940 sun roof seals cos I could do with one as well:rolleyes:

As I understand it you can't, but if you could get them anywhere try Skandix in Germany, or IPD in the States. Bob.

is it the glass or metal sunroof?

Glass one is usually corroded on the only ungalvanised part of the car, a new seal won't help as its leaking inside the seal between the steel and the seal and dripping into the sun roof channel (not drained, except onto your leg). A good bodge is to seal at the top of the glass with silicon.

On my 1993 960 metal roof then the part number is 3528809, still available and they are exactly as the original ones with the metal (aluminium) clip to go onto the roof lid edge and the felt on the sealing side...excellent stuff. They should be good for both the 700 and 900 metal sunroof lids.
