OEM for the Dist Cap/Rotor Arm & Shocks
 

I need to get some work done on the 1998 S70R. I thought I'd treat it to a new dist cap/rotor arm as well on the service side of things.

However, does anyone know who the OEM is the distributor cap and rotor arm on these?

Additionally, in DSK style its getting a suspension overhaul. Whilst all control arms, mounts etc will be Lemforder, does anyone know who is the OEM for the shocks on the R?

Bosch, Bosch, Sachs (f), Boge (r).

I've seen the Bosch distcap for £40 ish at Autodoc, so will order those items there.

That's true, and due to availability I order Sachs all round. They seem to have more distributors than Boge.

see how much the volvo one is first! they use the very best Lacquered spec ones which you wont find anywhere else . Don't compromise on HT Components ... in fact all yours need is a clean up I would think , they don't give problems ... unless someone has fitted a basic un-lacquered one sometime in the distant history to "cure" some other problem . :-) I've seen it all before many times ....

I thought the OEM Volvo was around £90+ (I saw OEM ones on fleebay for £80+). I did think the OEM items sourced elsewhere would be the same. (I used OEM Volvo plugs and filters for some 15 years plus and been using BOSCH plugs for 2 years/90,000 miles and the car is as sweet as).

Not ordered yet, I saw this just in time and awaiting a call back from our Volvo parts people. (edited... £43 cap, £31 arm from Volvo which will do just fine).

I was just thinking, even though the S70R does not do many miles, its last distributor cap was done around 5 years ago so, for times sake would like to do it.

Sadly FRF (main dealer) didn't respond so I bought most of my parts from Caffyns (another main dealer) and Riverside (my local main dealer), both of whom were very helpful - and often cheaper than PartsForVolvo, Skandix et al when you take delivery charges into account.

The only exception was the HT lead set which was horrendous at the dealers - £120-150 lol. PFV under £50!!!
