smokey start

Hi, I have a V70 T5, on starting up the engine and waiting for say a minute quite a bit of blue smoke comes from the exhaust for about half a mile then its fine. The rest of the time its fine.
Whilst in the garage the mechanic said oil was in the turbo, if this is correct what can/should be done about it.

Cheers Skill

Are you turning engine straight off after driving in boost? Therefore oil not draining from turbo back into engine, old wife’s tails maybe but advice I got told after my seals went on a clio diesel after firm driving. Correct me if I’m talking ****e.

Valve stem seals most likely, oil seeps through the worn seals and into the chamber so gets burnt first, hence smoke upon startup.
That'd be my guess anywho, it's not uncommon on the whiteblocks.
