1996 Volvo 850 CD T5 Manaul

Afternoon Guys.

I decided to sell my Volvo as I've found something else I want and will be much more suitable for me.

I was going to strip the car down bare, but it's too good to do that.

I've only owned the car over 1 weeks and I travelled over 10hrs to collect. A little about the car;

Mileage - 110k
Colour - Black with grey interior
Mot - July 2020

Recent work carried out.

Pcv system refresh
All four brake disc and pads
Oil and filter change
Spark plug change
Cone filter installed
Tint installed ( not too my liking was in the process of removing)
Rear lights tinted ( Again not to my liking was in the process of removing)

Bad bits ...unfortunately all cars have them and thja being over 20yrs old will have defect.

Requirement;

Bottom gear box mount ( orderd )
Top engine mount (small hole found order a polly Bush upgrsfe)
Drivers and passenger side mirror small scuffs
Drivers wing a small £2 coin size dent

I paid a fair amount for this car, so I just want what I paid for it. I am in no rush to sell, but for the right offer I will

Price - £3750

Contact me on _ 07584990938 as I dont spend much time on here

PICTURES WILL BE UPLOADED once iv found a decent image host

Thank you Mabs

Thank you.

Needs to go to a decent home. i bought this out of spur of the moment, as i really wanted another one.

My plans were to strip it down and track it, but its a good shell with a very low Miles

Still here.

Will be going on Ebay end of this week

Is this priced too much??

Had lots of views? But no interest? Usually these go quick

There is a nice T5 on ebay at the moment on a private listing for £2000 It is a one owner from new and similar miles. Looks spot on to me. You don't have any pictures of the interior, so its difficult to say price wise, but I would say nearer £2000 to £2500 if i'm honest. Depends how fast you want to sell it! Best of luck anyway.

No, it's priced at average money for a good example now. Ripped interior or major known faults drop the value down. £2k gets you a ropey example now, prices have been climbing fairly quickly over the last 18 months. The car I paid £1500 for 18 months ago is now worth £3-3.5k.

You haven't exactly had it up for long and there are better places to list it than here and eBay. Try Autotrader for a start (not many T5s on there, so yours will stand out) and then enthusiast pages on Facebook - they tend to shift pretty quickly on there. The smoked rear lights and heavy rear tints might put some buyers off, but enthusiast places won't be bothered. Definitely need some interior shots to aid the sale too.

The £2k one that Dean is referencing looks, based on what little can see comparing both cars, to be in worse condition.

It has:
- a broken headlight wiper motor
- destroyed headlight blades
- the wrong stereo, in the wrong colour
- appears to have bolster wear
- the rear wiper isn't parking in the correct place
- missing wheel caps
- wheels need a refurb
- glovebox hinge is broken
- wrong exhaust (and indeed it looks smashed).

Added to that, its a lower spec car (GLT with some options missing - like electric rear windows, electric seats vs CD), which has quite a lower spec than the CD trim. Hardly a 'spot on' example and would need at least a few hundred, if not more, to get it 'spot on'. Your price is pretty accurate tbh.

Looks nice but 3750 is at the top of the scale.

I sold mine for 2500 and it was pretty tidy with an impressive history.

The fact that you’ve only had it a week is probably putting some buyers off as well.
