How have a managed to stop the remote locking???
Last night I removed the Parrot handsfree system from the car. Everything fine afterwards....except it will no longer lock / unlock with either of the remote keyfobs. Arrggh !!
Central locking still works with the key in the drivers door. I guess I have stopped the alarm working entirely as the light on dash isn't flashing. I can't see any connectors dislodged and fuses in the main fusebox are OK, so any thoughts about how have I managed to do it? The Parrot was connected to the radio with adapter cables so to remove it I had the glovebox liner, radio and panel above pedals all removed. The microphone cable was tucked under the rooflining and A post trim so just pulled out. Power cables only went to the handsfree and were cut and insulated so I didn't disturb the fusebox. 1999 V70 Manual 2.4 TIA ! Joe |
To help me narrow this down can someone tell me where the receiver is in the car and is there an aerial?
Thanks Joe |
The receiver has a built in aerial directly attached to the pcb and is located under the top dash panel (basically fastened above the gauge cluster).

Is the remote central locking part of the alarm system? I can find 2 fuses for alarm and c. locking. Both are fine so not sure where else to look!. Cheers Joe |
When I bought my 98 V70 it had an aftermarket alarm mounted (a Viper something).
I removed it but I've never got the dash light to flash again nor the remotes to work :/ I'll be following this thread as I'm kinda out of ideas on what to try |
