S40 lpg maintenance
 

Hello ! I will buy Saturday a volvo S40 1.8 dual fuel and I will need some advice about the lpg maintenance . After I buy it I will do full service like other cars oil +filter+ air filter and I want some advice about lpg sistem .i want to do a service to lpg and I need some help
1- what spark plugs to change
2- what lpg filter to change and where is located and what is the name.to search on eBay
3 - what we need to be done on lpg maintenance .

And how should I test the lpg sistem when I buy the car to make sure is all in good working order . Thanks

Are we talking about a factry fit Bifuel car or a aftermarket conversion?

Make sure it drives perfectly on both fuels. The LPG system is not the greatest and suffers with failure of the fuel distributor.

Plugs use ngk bkr6es

Filters are on my web site.

Have to agree completely with 'classic'. If it doesn't run on LPG off the bat, there's 2 or 3 usual faults, it can be made to work fairly easily. Kept clean and with filters , many don't have one ex-factory. You'll usually want a 16mm, I'm sure Classic will sort you out.

Thanks . I seen on your site you have 1 lpg filter . Is S40 got only 1 lpg filter to change ?

The other part of the LPG "service" is checking and adjusting if necessary the gas pressure differential with a sensitive double ended pressure gauge ...

I got the Volvo s40 you give me some advice about lpg and filters .I look on line on your website and I see on section Volvo Bi Fuel the lpg filter is out of stock . Can I order from section lpg parts the filter dn12 it will fit my 1.8 S40 leg from 2003 ??? Thanks

My 100 Ltr tank has just failed on rust.

But was installed on my 245 GL in 2001.
