2001 V40 T4 S Auto - 130,000 miles

Well after nearly 18 months of ownership and 10,000 miles, I’m sorry to say my T4 is up for sale. I was planning to keep the car long term but I’ve well and truly been bitten by the ‘sleeper’ Volvo bug and just finalised the purchase of a 2011 S60 T6, so hence this advert. I want the car to go to somebody who will love and appreciate it the same way I have so am offering it to the enthusiasts first...
It’s a 2001 V40 T4 S Auto in Desert Wind Metallic. The current mileage is 130,000 and has virtually, if not all the options, available from the dealership at the time, inc Sunroof, Heated Leather (drivers electric seat), gloss black interior trim inc steering wheel, factory xenon’s, 17” Arcadia wheels, ECC, Cruise Control and a replacement CD player with Bluetooth, DAB, a USB interface inc uprated performance speakers.

When I purchased the car, it only came with service history up to 70,000 miles so I’ve spent a small fortune doing everything needed to bring the car back up to par. The work completed includes a full service; OEM plugs, Pipercross air filter, OEM oil filter, fully synthetic Oil, HT leads, water temperature sensor, steering wheel fluid change, Miltek pads and discs all round, drivers side front wheel bearing, front drop links, front suspension top mounts, Mobil ATF fluid change and B4 Transmission Servo update. Other work done includes an OEM cam belt and OEM water pump, new windscreen, uprated Walbro fuel pump, stainless steel performance exhaust with a lifetime warranty, new turbo oil pipe gaskets, coolant flush and refresh, a thorough clean of the Idle Valve, throttle body and turbo lines, 2 new Philips HID bulbs and Osram fog lights, new OEM dashboard bulbs and a full course of Dodo sound deadening in the door cards, boot lid and boot floor. Since owning the car I have also had the side skirts professionally painted body colour and fitted colour coded rear bumper spats from the phase 1 V40 T4. The cars also been fitted with Heko wind deflectors, the facelift grill and clear side markers that i’ve smoke wrapped.

The car drives really well with no mechanical problems, and the exterior and interior are in good clean condition for the year and mileage. The biggest bit of damage is a small dent on the rear driver’s side quarter panel. I have one key, including the remote fob and have all the books and receipts for the work completed. The car has MOT until December but I’m 100% confident that it will pass the next MOT with flying colours. The tyres all have 5 – 6mm of thread but are a cheaper brand, not premium. Everything works including the A/C.

I’ll be getting the car cleaned and taking some nice pictures as soon as the weather improves but if anybody is interested in the car please let me know. The prices of nice T4’s seem abit sporadic on the web, i’d like £1500 but am open to offers.
