V70 2.5 petrol or diesel...is there alot of diff in mpg?

As I'm considering selling the V70 for one (it's petrol I have) if it's night and day in comparison then it's no contest, but if only a couple of mile's in it then no point. Just to hear some veiws of some of you who have them, diesel V70 2.4's that is....oh and preferably auto's.

I didnt think it sounded a stupid question to ask.....or it is, no seriously is it, it is quite obvious that the diesel equivilent get's alot more to the gal. Sorry for sounded stupid if that IS the case, I certainly didnt mean to.

Hi,

Try a search for mpg and you'll find several topics on this subject.
Yes diesels will get more mpg that petrol, but I would expect the difference to be maybe 10mpg, or there abouts..

Driving style and type of driving will have a big impact on this too.

Des. . . ;)
