XC90 Pre-Conditioning

I have noticed that on these cold winter mornings I can't get pre-conditioning to start with any success whereas it works perfectly at all other times of the day. This would seem to indicate that Volvo's server is getting overloaded with thousands of Volvo drivers flooding . I have reported it and we'll see what they come back with.

In the meantime, a work-around seems to be simply to work ahead and set a schedule. That way the car doesn't need to communicate with anything to be warm when you want to drive it. Obviously, this is no good for occasions in the morning when you need the car on the spur of the moment.

Bob - it will be interesting to see what you post when you hear back from Volvo HQ as I'm using this feature often this winter:x-nerd:

Well I reported this before Christmas and the woman who took the call said that someone would call me back within 48 hours with an answer. Nothing heard yet

your missing out on such a useful feature, especially at this time of year!

do other communication tools work, such as flash lights and horn?

if not it might be that your car has no signal where you park it?

if it has then you might need to do a reset and maybe reinstall app?

if other comms work but just not condition, have you enough fuel? mine stops at first low fuel warning in car, have you actually got a pre heater? what spec and engine have you got?

Most of the time these features work - they're just not 100% reliable.

I believe the battery has to be over 80% charged for it to work , in other words if the stop / start works so should the pre conditioning .
