xc90 headlights fault using HIB lights
 
Hi all can someone help. I have just fitted HIB headlights to my XC90 now I an getting headlight blub fault warning on the dash
How can I get rid of it

probably triggered as they are pulling less current and fooling the computer that a lamp has failed. think you might have to fit an inline resistor.

What is an HIB headlamp?
How does it differ from HID?

If you replaced incandescent bulbs with Xenons, and you get a bulb failure warning, then you need to fit resistors of the right size to consume more power (and generate more heat) to fool the bulb failure detection systems.
