wooden 850 T5 steering wheels
 

Does anyone have a wooden steering wheel from an 850. Provided they made one of course [I'm sure someone will enlighten me] I would rather one from an 850 than the one from the later V70 with all the radio controls on the wheel.

Although that wheel is advertised as coming off a 99 car it is an 850 wheel as the airbag from the s / v70 model is a different shape and don't fit this wheel, that said the wheel does fit the later models as i swapped mine from my 850 into my s70, you just have to use the 850 airbag, it's priced not too bad either as i paid nearer to £90 for mine with the airbag inc postage 3 years ago but mine was near mint, here's a pic of it in the S70. http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/...8/SDC12090.jpg

£45 is a good price. I have one on my 850 and would not want anything else. The leather wheels seem to get very gummy and worn after a few years. The wooden wheels were a very expensive option on new cars IRO £500 I believe.

Well how canny... I'm the buyer.... been wanting one of these for a long time....

After seeing 2 on eBay go for the wrong side of £100 and them without the airbag module I thought it was a good deal too.

However there seems to be different wood types available on these wheels, most of them are like this one, a darker 'reddish' colour wood, but I saw one go for nearly £130 and that was a very light 'ash' colour wood wheel, both genuine 850 Volvo wheels.

Joined the club... also in near mint condition. The only wear is to the leather parts and that is only slight.
