Wanted V70 T5 or 2.5t

On the look out for a very good V70. T5 or 2.5T Pre 2006 to avoid the higher rate of tax. Auto or Manual.

Lower mileage (100k or less) and FSH. Must be in very good condition.

Please no white or black cars.

Finger crossed for a nice car.

Regards

Tom

Could be interested.

I was looking more at the phase 2.

If you could post more details that would be great.

It’s a genuinely reluctant sale but car plans and a lack of safe parking here means she must make way.
Ahead of advertising I thought I’d give you some info.
Please let me know if you need any more.

She’s booked in on the 12th at a Classic paint shop for a repaint of the bonnet and front bumper. The rest of the car is lovely but theres a few scuffs and stone chips that catch my eye following a detail. The interior and engine bay is excellent.

Volvo V70 T5 in rare pearlescent Nautic blue with an off black leather interior. It’s a manual five-speed too which is super rare to find.
It has a full service history and has been long-term enthusiast owned. It has its original dealer book-pack, both original keys and remote fobs.
It has an MOT until November and it passed last time without advisories. It’s got very few modifications - it’s a very standard car, however it’s got a rare and lovely £600 full stainless scorpion exhaust and a DO88 intercooler costing £400. Happily also it has a certificated BRC LPG conversion which cost £2250. All previous MOT certificates and tax discs are included along with bills for many thousands of pounds the most recent include £1342 which was for the cam-belt, clutch and flywheel.
Brembo brakes fitted within the last fortnight are just bedding in nicely.

Wheel bearings replaced 3000 miles back.

All four original ‘Perfo’ Alloys were recently professionally x-rayed, refurbished and powder-coat finished in the correct sparkle Silver and are in mint condition. All tires are recent too and inside the car all instrumentation is fully functional including the original sound system, air-con and all other electrics. The hydraulic dog guard and retractable load cover are still present and work as they should. All leather is supple and was recently re-coloured and conditioned.

The LPG system operates without fault and with gas at 57p a litre, this along with a classic insurance policy makes this a tremendously sensible beast to run.

The only reason for sale is that I’m consolidating all my vehicles into one, reluctantly and purely for practical purposes.
I also have a 2004 MX5 VVTi Sport and a freshly restored 1972 MGB GT to sell.

PM me further if interested.

Thanks,
Mark.

post 2006 manual is still cheap tax only the auto gets in the silly bracket

barrybritcher Aug 22nd, 2020 22:37

ignore that, the v70 just edges into the silly bracket but the s60 doesn't. thats annoying

TomP1980 Aug 25th, 2020 19:44

It's very annoying the tax hike. Especially as the higher tax cars are ulez compliant in London.

I'm still on the look out for a car.
