Speedometer/instruments binnacle swop out
 

I imported my V70 last year, speedo in Kms only, is it possible to swop out dial face only, or full speedometer, or whole instrument binnacle needs swopped?

There are companies specialising in the supply of replacement dials. Members of my old car club, Peugeot 406 Coupe Club, often used this one: https://moman.pl/en/home/134-30-volv...&id_currency=2 who say they can supply MPH dials if required.

Thanks for that, so it's still a binnacle out job, take speedo out, a few screws and then reverse process, not difficult to do really?

Sorry I can't advise on that as I've never done this job. Someone with more relevant experience may be able to advise.

What is the year of your V70 and does it have a digital or ananlogue dash?

2009, same instruments as S60 and XC70, standard dials

Remember that if you do put in a conversion dial set, the speedometer must have both mph and kph scales in the UK unless you have a digital kph alternative system. In other countries where they use mph dials this is not a requirement eg USA.

I was just going to swop out a mph dial only.

The U.K. mph clocks have the kph readout as digital display on the Rev counter, selectable from the computer.

Wonder if the tft upgrade through vdash may be an (expensive) solution.
