Retro fitting a fuel filter housing with primer pump
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I have a 2005 v50 2.0d 136bhp with air bubbles im the fuel lines, Im thinking of completely removing the original volvo housing and hoses and retro fitting a housing with a built in primer pump (plunger type) like in the attached picture. My only concern is what does the electrical connection on the top of the original volvo housing do ? And can i leave it unplugged or bypass it without any problem? Im wanting to use a metal canister type filter coupled with hose and jubilee clips instead of the troublesome original push fitting hose connections. Regards. |
Can't answer that question however the Peugeot iteration of this same engine has the hand primer built into the fuel line... might be worth fitting that.

Are you sure it is the fittings? Some others have found a cracked housing or the seal under the lid? Iain |
