S40 2010 1.6 Diesel, Engine knock on idle and bad Flywheel
 

Hey guys, Im new here and I am from Austria , however I am seeking some help here since Volvo cars are not exactly popular within the German-Speaking community. :(

I have recently bought a used Volvo S40 made in 2010 with 128 600 kms on clock. From the outside its really in good condition , drives well, engine is smooth while driving. However, unfortunately after a week of owning the car i have noticed that when i come to a stop my revvs start to drop below regular and the engine (or perhaps flywheel) start knocking and then it evens itself out and is running smooth again. Additionally once the engine and transmission are warm , when i press the clutch pedal i hear rattling noise. I have taken my car to Volvo dealer and they diagnosed the worn out Flywheel. Since I have bought my car from a dealer, here I still have 1 year warranty and the dealer has agreed to cover 70 percent of the costs for replacing the flywheel , clutch and the throw out bearing. I have booked my car for the next Wednesday so hopefully this will get the problem fixed.

However, this is not my only concern. My engine unfortunately is also knocking on idle (especially when warm) and sometimes when i turn the ignition off and then back again, additionally to a diesel knock there is some weird loud ticking noise that dissapears after few minutes of starting the engine. when I push down the accelerator the noise dissapears or maybe blends in, but is certainly not audible at all. No check engine lights, drives pretty smooth. Video links below

My question is, is this engine knock somehow related to flywheel going bad? or do I have some piston or valve damage as well? I need to figure out all the possible car problems while im still under warranty of my dealer.
