Anyone used Cardiff Volvo Specialist Ltd in Cardiff? Looking for a non-dealer Volvo specialist to service my 03 S60.

to be honest if your looking for an independent in south wales then i will recommend bridgend volvo specialists. I have never dealt with the cardiff indpendent volvo so cant comment, but I have dealt with Jason and co at bridgend daily for many years, since before they opened in fact.

my volvo has been serviced at this garage for some time by the previous owner,and having worked on the car myself since, i have found some faults that according to the invoices the work was not done good enough,this is only my opinion and not everybody elses,all best.

which garage are you refering to mate?

volvo specialist bridgend 01656 769769 as stamped in my service book, and a shed load of receipts,as i said its only my opinion as is yours,all best.

I have used Jason's garage as mentioned above by Simon ( Rufe ) on numerous occasions . I have found Jason and his team fantastic to deal with .

i've used BVS for a clutch change. seemed nice enough no hassles got car cleaned as well. if you use cardiff volvo specialist, could you post your experience with them as they are alot closer to me.

Great independent garage. I've had all my cars serviced there with Mike and so has my other half, my dad (taxi driver) and my brother (taxi driver). Doesn't over charge and fixes and services only what's required, very trustworthy.

i'm from the bridgend area and debating on weather to get my car serviced at a main dealer or bridgend...

in bridgend they told me labour was £39.50 p/h (something like that anyway can't remember exactly)

but they did tell me when my alternator was dodgy that it needed to be replaced with a 160amp one, even tho the one on the car was 140..

i'm undecided on what to do, they seem to offer everything volvo seem to do from what i can tell, just with a cheaper hourly rate, i was advised £600 to replace the alternator on my d5, is that a fair price?

very clean and very friendly place mind!, and slightly hard to find if you've not been there before i feel

ive just brought a volvo and i have a few niggles

i always use major motors on slopper road

he has all the diag equipment to diagnose anything and his service is top notch.

he diagnosed the fault with my heating and took it all apart to swap parts around.

Very cheap and sometimes you can get away with a free diagnsis otherwise he is quite cheap
