1989 240 GLT Auto Estate For Sale.
 

I have to sell my 1989 240 GLT auto Estate in silver due to me having too many cars in the Marina car park.

I have owned the car for 10 years and he has done me proud travelling with me for 73,000 miles.

Reg number F912 YOA for MOT history. Always passes with no Advisories.

Mot Due 0n the 7th of November 2018.

Drives and starts great.

Mileage 235,000

Underneath solid as over the last 5 years had outriggers on passenger side welded twice and drivers side once.

New exhaust last year.

All interior ok, passenger door pocket broken.

Various parts replaced over the years. Nissens rad, hoses, Brakes, Disks, etc etc.

Still good Michelin energy saver tyres with around 4mm tread.

Doesn't blow smoke.

Negatives.

Nearside front tyre looses pressure over a week, Fit spare matching alloy and re-seal other for spare.

Needs some welding on passenger sill for next MOT as 2 holes.

Rear Arches rusty.

Been used as shed so needs a good clean and wash. May give valet, if I can get storage sorted.

Heater fan does not work.

ODO stopped working.

Loses a bit of oil, needs topping up every now and then and flame trap cleaning as engine bay oil mist.

Losses a bit of water, possible leak on heater matrix pipework (Sure I felt a drip around a year ago) or matrix. Not a lot, cant remember how much as don't drive it much.

Tailgate latch not latching/ locking, this week. Will oil and see if I can get working.

Sounds a big list but be a shame to scrap it as it still drives well and is all present. With some time tidying and replacing a few bulbs and the welding will make a nice car.
I Hope it goes to a good home who will tidy it up. Rather it wasn't banger raced! I'll miss it!

Nick collected the 240 GLT this evening, "Freddy" So glad he has gone to a good home. Hope he serves Nick, as well as my 240 has to me over the last 10 years.
