Volvo C30 D5 57 particulate filter issue
Hi guys,
I have C30 D5 57plate and am just a tiny bit confused with regards to the particulate filter. I have read that it uses a different system to the 1.6d and the 2.0d is this true? If so does this mean it doesn't require a particulate filter change at 72,000? I feel that the car doesn't have as much power as my 53 plate s80 hence why I think there is an issue with the C30. It did once come up with the particulate filter trap fault code when the 'Engine system service' came up but this has not come up since doing an oil change. I think the Engine Service Required was more to do wth the oil level rising. Regards Jay |
the D5 uses a dry system does not need replacing at 72K.
the 1.6 and 2.0 (if they have one) is a wet EOLYS system. the C30 is less powerful in D5 guise than others with 180 rather than closer to 200 many other forms although i am not entirely sure about the s80 in yours but it could be more and probably is (the manifold is different on the C30 D5). |
