Anyone bought a V90 CC recently?

My V90 CC will be need new tyres in a few months and I have noticed that new V90 CC cars are coming with Pirelli PNCS tyres.

There is a dedicated summer tyre and an all season tyre available and both have been developed specifically for Volvo.

The tyre size is 235/50 R19.

If you have a new V90CC I would like to know the tyres it came with and what you think of them.

Ours came with Michelin Latitude Sport 3's and we have done just over 10k miles, rears still have plenty of tread and the fronts are doing pretty well also, although it is mainly driven by my wife, hence the better tyre wear !!

These are OK no issues with grip or noise or with towing our caravan.

I'm also curious what tyres they come with as I'm picking up my V90 CC from the dealer towards the end of October. I recall the old V70CC used to come with Pirelli Scorpion Mud and Snow tyres.

Forgive my ignorence but can you explain what Pirelli PCNS tyres are? :)

Same tyres on my 2019 XC90 Inscription and they seem better for noise and road holding than my last 2017 XC90 Momentum with Pirelli.

Great to know XC90s are now coming with Michelin Latitude Sport 3. I replaced Conti Silents on my XC90 with these and having done 5k+ on them, I can confirm its a different car, road noise is dramatically reduced over the Conti's. Mine are the acoustic version of the Michelin's though. If i go for another XC90 next year, I'd be very concerned about going back onto Conti's.

Pncs

PNCS is pirelli noise cancelling system.

Very similar to Michelin 'Acoustic'.

It is a foam insert to reduce tyre roar.

It helps a bit and at certain frequencies. Volvo have started using it on many SPA platform cars even though the tyres are more expensive.

Volvo have even worked with Michelin and Pirelli to develop these tyres (hence the VOL) to mark them as specific to Volvo.

Does this imply that these SPA cars are noisy when fitted with standard, non acoustic, tyres?
The Michelins on mine are holding up very well, but I had considered going for all season tyres when it is time to change.
I put some cross climates on my wife’s V40 and they are very good, so I was thinking about putting a set onto the V90

Cross Climates

If you do go for the cross climates I would be very interested to see what you think of them.

We have put cross climates on a Skoda Yeti and they have been really good.
