grinding when brakes are on, occasional resistance

Hi, I have a 1999 V70. When I brake I get a graunching noise which I assumed was pads discs. Have replaced then but noise still there. Now I get occasional resistance on the brake pedal.

The noise is not entirely rhythmical, but not unlike ABS kicking in , although happens with gentle braking. There are no warning lights coming on.
We are thinking either servo or ABS, but I don't want to spend too much trying to find the fault.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Richard

You would be better off posting in the forum just above this one. Completely different cars. :)

While I would endorse 'ITSv40's advice, 'keithy1959', my money would be on a sticking piston or pistons. On the other hand, it could just be the new pads / discs 'bedding in'.

Regards, John.
