V50/S40 2004-07 Pre-facelift Egg Crate Grille

I finally sold my V50 this week so have some parts to sell. I have a genuine Volvo egg crate style grille from a S40 that makes a V50 looks so much better than it's original 'waterfall' grille.

It's used but is clean and in good condition. It has a blemish in the top right corner but isn't noticeable when fitted. £150. Thanks

Just to check, is your asking price a typo or is 150 (one hundred and fifty) correct?

Not being funny but £150 seems a bit OTT are they even that much new from volvo?

You sold it yet?

They are £300 new and I've never seen a second hand one for less than £100, I spent months looking for one.

No I haven't sold it yet.

Thanks

Wish I'd known that I only got £55 for mine :-( , but to be honest they seem to go on egay for about £50-£65, good luck with the sale...

Errm, sorry to put spanner in the works but I bought a used OEM S40 grill off ebay a few weeks ago for £40 delivered and it was in A1 condition. This is why I wanted to check your advert didn't contain a typo as price may have put people off (i.e. £15 reasonable given the damage to grill). Still, you never know. Good luck with the sale.

Well I guess it's always a case of you get what someone is willing to pay on the day. I've now got a Mk5 Golf GTI, I was looking for a spare set of Monza alloys and saw some good ones go for just £200 the other day but I missed the chance to buy. Now every set I see go for £350-£450.

I'm willing to negoitiate a bit if anyone wants to make an offer, I might just stick it on ebay at some point and see what happens.

I've also got a cup holder, some alloy caps and spare tyre to sell at some point!

Quite sad to see my V50 go :(

Mk5 Golf GTI. Very nice machine indeed!

Stick your grill on ebay and put a reserve on it. It should soon shift. In fairness, I think I got a very good deal on the one I got off ebay. I also managed to pick up an OEM strut brace for only £15 off ebay so, as you say, just comes down to what people pay on the day.

Personally I'd say £150 is well over the top....
