Personally, I like the sleeper look, but have yet to remove the S60 & D5 badges.

That has always been my experience. Most of the people I have come across, in the UK, debadge to stop people instantly knowing the car's power. I am sure some individuals like the sleeper idea, but with the V40 I have never known anyone with a D4 engine to debadge the vehicle. It always seems to be D2 owners.

Why? So you can put your foot down at the lights and enjoy the surprised look on another driver's face. That comes back to the point made by someone else on this thread that he assumes a car has been thrashed if they have altered the badges.

It's almost as if the car manufacturers design these engines to produce power, which, y'know, can be used.
