1997 V70 T5R front springs
One of the front springs has broken on my ex police V70 T5R.
Tried ordering a new pair but my chassis plate info does not match the system and I'm getting no where. Does anone know what part number springs should be fitted to this model? I do not want to fit a lowering spring set as the car already sits very low and is nice and firm as is. If I can not find replacments I will have to take the car off the road for a while to get the springs copied. Any ideas? |
1997 V70 T5R? Never come across that before... to my knowledge it was just T5 or R with T5R being solely used on the 850 models.

The car is has a manual box.
Springs are iron oxide with no markings so not much help there. I will check the engine code. Thanks |

Hi Simon,

Front Springs
Hi
I have been told the Police T5 can be a bit of a hybrid using heavy duty springs and heavy duty wishbones maybe from the diesel as it is heavier do check the model there was not a V70 T5R Regards alan |
It is one of the very first v70's and comes up sometimes as and 850 T5R and otrhers as a V70 R
The suspension is (or was) quite stiff and it does sit nice and low. Hopfully Volvo will be able to sort me out with the correct springs. |
