Well, if you think about it: VW, cheating emissions, animal cruelty, darth vader, the dark side...the ad makes sense and adds up all what the brand stands for.

In the Volvo ad I thought the logical conclusion of the life story of the little kid would be the final journey to the crematorium in a Volvo hearse.

It's very refreshing too where ads in these sectors are normally pushing sportiness, bling and car-orientated lifestyles. I like the way the girls story is clearly more important than the car, which is almost incidental.

Very in-keeping with Volvo's brand - classy but understated.

Hopefully it will impact on the 'bell-ends', for want of a better word, who hammer down my residential street at 45mph when my girls are out on their scooters.
