Questions before purchasing
Hi
I currently have a 2010 XC70 d5 lux 145,000 miles, it’s been great. But it’s probably time to change, as it’s starting to show its age. So thinking v90 cc. Looking at the v90cc and v90. What’s the difference in the touring and dynamic chassis? My XC70 has self levelling suspension and like its towing and off-road ability. Would one be better for us has be do tow monthly and live very rurally. Going to look at a 2017 v90cc this weekend (also same dealer has a vw tourag for me to compare). But further afield is a v90cc pro, that if I like the one I see might be worth a trip. Options could be the v90 but awd is a must. More interested in the D5 again than the D4, but with towing the extra powers useful, what’s mapping ( as well as the polestar) of the d4 like? Many thanks |

After four great XC70s, I’m very happy with my V90CC.
Even the slopier tailgate has not been as inconvenient as feared - the only slight downside I can think of. I have no towing experience but would not recommend the D4 anyway - it’s adequate at best, underpowered at worst (IMHO - others may disagree!), so go for a D5; noticeably more power, little difference in economy or emissions. And if that’s still not enough, just add Polestar! - I was very happy with that set-up - until, with my slightly declining mileage, I got tempted by a naughty little T6 - with Polestar, of course... If equipment/options matter, be aware that quite a few advertised as Pro models are not. Quick visual checks are 19” wheels and front fogs; internally, stitching on tailored dash & doors cappings, and 12.3” driver display (two main dials). |

Depends on your priorities D76 |
Current model Touareg is very plasticy inside compared to current Volvo’s, a colleague has one, seems smooth enough, less engine clatter than a diesel Volvo, but below your elbows the plastics are hard and scratchy.
