What range do you get from a full tank?
Lots of posts about mpg, on various models. This is quite hard to get accurate.
So thought if we all stated our engine size, fuel type, and maximum range acheived from a tank that may show that though some seem to have higher mpg actually their ranges are very similar. So lets have it guys over the coming week or 2 as you can. |
2005MY 163bhp d5 with 108000 miles.
With mixed driving I get about 430 out of a tank (say 65litre o ut of 70litre tank). Max i had was 530 miles on a tank driving from Harrogate to Gloucester and back. |
2007 d5 SE Lux
Usually get 450 miles, made up of mixed driving. Although driving at 70 on a long journey 470 has been achieved. |
I get about 350/330 miles from my 850r petrol mixed driving
The 850r lpg/petrol gets about 190miles from lpg and same as above from petrol The 850 T5 again same 350/330 S60 T5 gets slightly more about 420 mixed driving I think the C30 D5r gets approx 450 it could be more but as it is my hubby's car I hardly drive it.... |
2011 XC90 D5 Auto 200PS
Usually fill up once fuel light comes on, typically 400-420 miles by that point. OBC shows 31.5 - 32mpg. 6,000 miles so far, enjoyed every one  |
2003 XC90 D5 auto - 195bhp remap
Around 430 miles, mixed driving (65-ish liters). |
I'm not playing !!
T6 XC90, 300 if I'm lucky !! :( |
2004 D5 163bhp auto. 108k miles.
I don't know for a full tank as I tend to fill up around the 1/4 mark which I get to after 300 miles or so. Best I have seen was 270 for less than half a tank bu a bit more than 1/3. |

2007 D5 SE 185bhp
I never let her go right down (oooh ere !) but I reckon I'd be lucky to crack 375 based on the 25-26mpg I see (my computer seems reasonably accurate). To be fair most of my driving is short distance 30-40, wee blast at 60-70 & then back to 30-40...nae good for the car or the mpg ! |
