xc90 Turbo or ?
 

Have intermitant turbo boost. Started with the breather system activator rod comimg of, bought new rod fittd and ran fine for 50 miles, now boost is variable, Had in garage and he is not sure, waste gate, electronic control or turbo.. any ideas ?

Take it to the dealer for a proper diagnosis. Sounds like your chap is half guessing, half reading tea leaves.
