Hi there,
I’m potentially interested in your 440 - would you happen to have any pictures of it? Many thanks, Joseph |
Hi there. I don’t have any photos to hand but I can get some taken today I hope.

Hi no one has shown interest in the car so we’re happy to give it away rather than send to scrap. Please let me know if you’re interested

What a lovely looking car.
Bump this post back to the top, it would be such a shame for this to be scrapped. |

Volvo 440 gone to a new home
Thanks everyone for your interest. The car has been collected today and gone to a new home where we hope it will be loved. Sorry the forum doesn’t let me reply directly to private messages.

Hi everyone, as an update, I’ve taken the car on and would like to thank Moira for her patience and assistance whilst I arranged an uplift to have the car recovered up to Scotland. I have plans to get the car on the road and with an MoT pass, it really is in very good condition and not very common as a TD engined 400 series. I plan on attending a few Volvo Owners Scotland meets this year, and if anyone sees me about, please say hi 🙂 I’ll update on any progress I make with the car. Thanks, Joseph

I now have two 440s and a 460, all saved from the crusher 🙂 |
I am so glad someone's taking on these 440s and 460s. I think they were underrated in their day and sadly they are now getting very rare indeed - as someone who "collects" 480s I am very aware that they are fast becoming the most common survivors of the whole 400 family.
I did ask after this car: not really where my enthusiasm lies but I was very worried it might just go off for scrap - hence I am pleased to see you rescued it! David |
