Rear screen misting up on the inside.

For the last three days each time I've got in the car to start it I've found the rear screen is all misted up in the inside. I clear it with the rear windscreen heater but can I do anything to avoid it happening?

Emmm yes and no. The temperature of your back window is falling below the dew point of the air inside the car , hence condensation. When you leave the car the air inside is generally warmer and has absorbed ' excess' water which drops out when its cools below it's dew point.
There are many ways to stop it of varying degrees of impracticality. All have the same general thrust - keep the window temp up or the cabin air dew point ( wetness) down.
Keep it clean - dirt/dust nucleates condensation.
Check the car for leaks , wet carpet, coolant smell etc.
Don't leave wet gear in the car.
Empty the hot air as you park up - door open for a bit.
Leave a window/ sunroof cracked open.
Park the back up against a poorly insulated wall of a house ( keeps frost away as well)
Put a blanket on it.
Stick in in the garage.
Park back to the sun - front will probably mist up instead.
Run a dehumidifier in the car.
Wait 'til summer - my favourite , works every year.
Buy a soft top.

Generally this only lasts a few days when we have high humidity and low overnight temperatures. You won't cure it - Mother Nature wins everytime.

Cheers for that. I've checked for leaks and thankfully found none! Will leave doors open for a little while longer after journeys.

Dead body?! My wife does annoy me from time to time but that would be a little drastic!
