Wedding car

Almost exactly one year ago, shortly after me acquiring my Volvo 1963 P1800S with intention of carrying our a full restoration as a retirement project my daughter asked if it could be her wedding car. So instead I did a light retoration. On Saturday I drove her to the wedding ceremony and her husband drove her to back to the reception. Proudest day of my life and the only thing that upstaged the Volvo was my daughter.
Her new husband said that they felt like movie stars when the drove the car and it drawed huge attention from onlookers. The photographer has just sent us some quick preview photos and in in amongst them was some of the car. I've shared these as I thought fellow P1800 owners would appreciate them |

Dave;
...nice job!...I particularly like the Through-the-Windshield-Shot!...and congratulation Dad! Greetings all from the south Germany! |
A word of caution, make sure that your insurance covers you for this. Nothing worse than an angry bride to frustrated when the wedding car breaks down. When I was doing wedding photography a camera malfunctioned internally, unknown to me. When the wedding shots were ruined they sued me.

Only just caught up on these shots.
I always wondered if my son was going to ask to have the car as his wedding transport, but no.... Oh well probably just as well.... http://i1338.photobucket.com/albums/...ps89aef0dd.jpg |
