Got myself an 850 GLT

Left home at 5;00 this morning in the XC90 and went south of Hadrian's Wall to collect my new to me 97 850 GLT in Silver Sand Metallic with 58k on the clock.

That is a really nice car.
Impressed by the careful vacuumed pattern of the load area carpet :-) You must be chuffed - well worth getting up at stupid o'clock in the morning for. Enjoy. |

I can see from the photos you have a special one there. One of those that needs looking after, as they are few and far between in that condition. It's a pity it doesn't have the cruise control though. That would be the icing on the cake!

What's your plans for the car, is it to replace the XC90?......I suspect not!

It is indeed a special one, there can't be many original unmolested 850s around now and this one is 100% as it left the factory
My plan is to use it occasionally as my second car. That does look as fresh as the day it left the factory. Nice to have a good canvas to work with. Well wear with it, 4x4!!!
Always had a soft spot for that colour, especially on the 850, and had a '98 V40 T4 in a similar (lighter?) shade but I believe it was called Silver Dawn...can't remember the paint code. |
