Does the C30 have a fuel pump??

Hello,

We've bought a 2013 C30 D2 1.6 Diesel car. It's been back to the dealership several times because when driving it it would go in to limp mode.

We've established that this was happening because it was running low on fuel... however the fuel gauge was telling me 100 miles in the tank.

But Volvo was telling me we were running it to low? It wasn't even on red... admittedly close to red but not on it.

They've replaced the Fuel Sender but then told me that the C30 D2 doesn't have a fuel pump.... is this correct??? Surely not?!

Hi
If it is the same as the V50, there is no lift pump between the tank and the main injection pump, hence the vacuum pump needed to prime the system after a fuel filter change.

Apparently there is no pump sat directly inside the fuel tank! I would have assumed there would be a pump in there??

if you have changed the sender unit you would have seen the pump
attached to it

There wasn't a fuel pump in there apparently.... I'm just baffled as when the trip computer says it's got 100miles left in the tank, drive it up a hill and it goes in to limp mode... Apparently because it's starved of fuel.... Is this normal for this model of car???
