XC90 on/off steering feedback
Hi all,
Picked up 55 plate XC90 last week which seemed like a pretty good buy, but there's a couple things I'm slightly concerned about. For now I'll focus on this one which I didn't notice in the test drive: I've noticed that if you put a certain amount of lock on, and then apply just a light amount of force on the wheel, the resistance, or feedback force if you like, cuts in an out, making the wheel oscillate side to side if you maintain that light pressure. In most driving you don't notice it but in a long fast bend where you're maintaining a bit of pressure on the wheel you do notice the feedback switching on and off, which isn't great!. Here's a link to the world's most boring video, most noticeable from 30s in. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vxm...ew?usp=sharing Any ideas on the cause? |

My previous car, a V70, did the same thing. I just lived with it.
You COULD try a fluid change - it MIGHT help |
