Bigger wheels??
 

Hi all, I have a 2006 V70, I have been offered a set of alloys off a newer shape V70 that are 18”. They are genuine Volvo alloys in mint condition but don’t have tyres on them.
Will these fit straight on to my car and if so what size tyres (as in side walls) should I get?
Mine are standard 17’s at the minute, I think on 45’ side walls ( can’t check cause I’m away at the minute) so I assume I’ll need 40’s on there.
I don’t know the name of the wheel but they are 6 spoke alloys.
If I can find a photo of one and work out how to stick it on here I will.

Don't know the differences but I would try to find out if these where the optional wheels for the S60/V70/XC70 or rather from the XC90 (or even from the P3 platform).

But one thing is for sure, the tires will rub inside the wheel arch at full turn. So as long as you don't do too many tight turns (parking lots, etc), should be fine

The other thing is, the ride is going to get harsh is the roads nearby are not nice and smooth

P3 wheels will not fit the P2 cars as the centre hole is about 1.5mm smaller and will need machining to fit.

Thanks for the info, that’s really made my decision. They wouldn’t fit anyway as they are off the newer shape model than mine. Also been reading other posts about the ride being really hard which I’m not that bothered about ( my other car is a seat leon mk1 Cupra R on 18’s) but I couldn’t be doing with them rubbing on the arches.
I’ll get my standard 17’s refurbished.
