Srs module

I have a V50 se sport 2.4. Over the cold weather recently the srs airbag light came on. I've heard it's new module time. Does anyone know if it can be repaired?

Search the forum for SRS control module.
It's been discussed many times. They can be repaired.

Lovely thanks

Further troubleshooting required... it's simply telling you a fault has been detected somewhere on the SRS system.. get the codes read and reset... light does not go away just because fault has been fixed, it needs to be reset after the fault has been fixed

I bought the icarsoft vol 2 for it. It's coming up multiple things ie resistance etc. More investigations I think

You can get the light to come on by disconnecting any part of the SRS system (whether deliberately or accidentally) without disconnecting battery first, or even by disconnecting battery incorrectly.

Once triggered, the master warning light stays on until it is actively reset... it is saying “there has been a fault detected”, not necessarily that “there is a fault now”. That’s why I suggest resetting the codes first - if it then goes away, problem solved. If the codes come back you still have an issue that needs to be resolved, then you can reset.

I try to reset with my vol 2 but it says it can't communicate with the ecu. Doin my Swede in.

Recommend you find someone nearby with VIDA/Dice...

I've just had this and through searching here came across https://www.crashdata.co.uk/Default.asp
Mine came back in the post today. Not yet fitted but I am hopeful.

Did it work when you refitted the module?
