Looking for a 200 Series Estate/wagon

Morning all I hope your all well. So after loosing my 940 Turbo in an accident :( . I am really missing not having a Volvo on the road but always said if I had the chance I would get a 240 Estate. I have my amazon project but that will take a while yet.

So there any nice sensibly priced ones out there, I am in the north of England but would travel for the right car. Really looking for an early one but would consider most years and models.

Thanks in advance

Marc

Sorry to hear of your 940 being written off.

I had a 1989 240 GLT auto estate for 10 years and it was a nice reliable car with the B230E engine. Bought in 2009 for £350 and sold in 2018 with 234,000 miles for £500. Drove faultless. Rust is the issue, but see you can weld, so will be needed.

2 years prior to selling the 240 I bought a 1996 940 SE LPT auto estate for £250. Use this for work. Been reliable and liked the creature comforts of AC, (only just sorted) and ABS brakes. When I test drove it couldn't believe how much quieter and smooth it was compared to the 240. Bought it straight away!

Good luck on your quest for a 240. I do like them!
