DAB Options

2009 V70
No phone or Bluetooth fitted but it has a Parrot for phone connection (which doesn't have a music streaming function).
I'm looking for a stand alone DAB adaptor option that has a streaming facility, will be tidy and not have cables everywhere. I know that Pure Highway is an option but was wondering if anyone has an alternative.

Take a look at this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/AutoDAB-Sma.../dp/B01HJYQK3A

Or use an FM transmitter cheap as chips or upgrade ya parrot for streaming, i have the MKi9200 and its really good, can stream internet radio etc, only down side for me is its not using all the speakers so you lose the nice sound quality from the dolby pro logic.

I would make sure though that if you go for the DAB setup and not the streaming, make sure to hear from other volvo users that have added it, I should have done this with my laguna, the front screens are notorious for blocking signals and i placed the stick-on antenna on it and the signal was terrible, the cable wasnt long enough to reach the boot, so i had to put up with bluetooth streaming using internet radio. Ive not fitted it in the volvo yet, not sure im going to but may try it and see, was only about £15 on offer on amazon, all quite dear atm and prob double what they are on wish.com

Thanks guys

In the end I have opted for the Pure Highway 200 which was only £39 on Amazon. It doesn't have bluetooth but I don't need that as I have the Parrot. It does give me DAB (which I want) and it also allows me to play music through Aux In (although I can do that already) so I guess the challenge is to get the wiring routed neatly to eliminate the exposed cables. A friend has done it perfectly on his Mondeo so I imagine it'll just take a bit of patience.

Here's a question though ... the antenna on the Pure Highway is a sticky thing that goes on the windscreen and has a little magnetic thingy connected to it that pushes under the roof lining to make contact with the underside of the roof. Is is possible to relocate that to, say, the rearmost side window on a V70 (assuming the wires will reach to the dashboard) or is there a reason it must go on the windscreen?

The Pure Highway arrived. I was off work today so I decided to install it. Very easy to do and the cable was long enough (just!) to allow me to attach the antenna to the rearmost side window which means there is nothing on the windscreen and the cables are neatly tucked away and out of sight.
Tuning was automatic and it appears to be giving an excellent signal quality. I used the Aux In method of connection to the car which is supposed to give a stronger signal than the FM transmitter method. Overall I'm pleased with it.

Pure Highway

Could I ask where you put the main unit that controls the playback etc? I'm faced with the same install and also thought I might put the sticky aerial on the rear window out of the way!
