Correct part # for steering angle sensor for 2009 2.4D?

Hello, I'm new here!

I have a 2009 XC90 that is showing an error with the anti skid system, it's been checked out by a Volvo specialist and the error code shows it's the steering angle sensor. My slight complication is that the car is in Australia but I'm in the UK. I will be in Australia in July and would like to take the part from the UK to fit it as the quotes to do this in Australia are ~£650 for the part and labour!

I would like to buy a second hand part in the UK and fit it myself. I've looked online to see how to fit it, and it seems within my capabilities and tool kit (apart from having it calibrated or plugged into the special Volvo diagnostics system, which is going to cost me $70).

My issue is that I can't find a definitive statement of the part number. Can you guide me to some source that can confirm this?

The VIN of the car is YV1CT714691521918, if this can be used to confirm the part number.

Thanks

The first step in the process is updating the Steering angle sensor software before you replace it , it reduces the sensitivity to false alarms . Unless yours is physically broken of course .

IF you want the correct part you need to know if it has 2 or 3 stage air bag , and whether it has DSTC or not and whether it is a USA market car . There are 3 different versions

If it has DSTC ABS and 2 stage air bag PN = 31264468

But best to ask the Australian Volvo dealer as cars do vary a lot in different markets .

Thank you both for your help.

It has DSTC as I've seen this on the instruments and in the computer/operating system. Also the sensor issue came to light when "anti-skid system service require" showed as a message.

The Scandix site allows me to add a VIN that then limits the search results. With my VIN I see 31313083 for cars with DSTC and 31264468 for cars without. I think that means I need the 31313083.

Thank you.
